we are very pleased to announce the following:

Jeanne's Creative Hands Quilter's are metting in the studio the 1st Monday of each month. 

Jeanne's Bernina BaliQuilters meet in the studio every second Thursday.

Faye Palmeter is back in the studio to offer instruction to all skill levels.  A quilter for 25+ years who has attended classes, workshops and retreats with many well know Canadian and American tearchers, such as Karen Henry, Heather Stuart, Daphne Greig, Carol McLean, Judy Mathison and Alex Anderson to name a few

* Foundation paper piecing

  Fabric landscapes from your favorite photo

* Strip Log Cabin (Elenor Burns method)

  Fancy Pillowcases

* Circles, fast and fun!

  Bargello

  Pick a "Pieced Tree" pattern for runners etc., and let's do it!

* Redwork

* Classes identified with an astrick (*) will include enough supplies to do 2 blocks!

Classes are available in Private and Semi-Private to a maximum of 6 in a session

Fees are as follows:

                            Private -                             $12.00 per hour

                            Semi-Private: 2 students -    $10.00 per hour per student

                                                3 students -    $8.00 per hour per student

                                                4-6 students - $7.00 per hour per student

** Rates are subject to change

HST is included in hourly rate, as is supplies of the above mentioned classes that qualify.  Cutters, mats, and rulers will be available or you may choose to bring your own, please make sure they are labeled with your name.

Classes can be arranged for most morning, afternoons, evening and weekends by calling

So, all you have to do is gather a few of your quilting friends or want to be quilting friends, choose a topic and give Faye a call or e-mail her.  This is about learning a new skill that you will take home with you to complete your project.

FYI:  So far I have offered instruction in a few of the above mentioned classes and these sessions have each been approximately 2 1/2 hours.

Work In Progress Day

On the 3rd Monday of each month from 9:30 am until 3:00 pm Faye is inviting quilters or sewers of all skill levels into the studio to work on a current project or perhaps to start a new one.  To attend you MUST call (902) 697-2053 (leave a message) or e-mail fayep(at)eastlink.ca each and every month to have your name added to the list.  There is a maximum of 8 per WIP day.  You will receive confirmation from Faye if your name is one of the eight.  You need to bring a brown bag lunch, your machine and all your supplies.  Please clearly mark your name on all items you bring to the classroom.  The cost is $10.00 per person per day.  Faye will be there should you have any questions and as always we learn and share with each other.  The studio is located in the basement of the fabric store.  Use the driveway between the two buildings and enter through the RED door.  New faces are always welcome.

Last Monday of each month (at NO Charge) we invite you to come to the classroom, bring your fabrics and machine to make comfort quilts and pillowcases for those in need!!  What a great way to give back to your local community and help those in need!!  Please either e-mail or phone the classroom to let Faye know if you plan on helping out in this wonderful cause :)
